Doll Making

Doll making allows us to enter a world of fantasy. It's great to be able to leave the real world behind and spend a little time in Camelot or Atlantis!

When I was young I spent a lot of time making dolls but as I aged I found other crafts and interests to occupy my time. Recently I wanted to get back to this craft but kept thinking, "what am I going to do with dolls." There are no small childten left in the family to give them too and I just couldn't find a reason to make a doll.

Then I realized that I was missing the whole point of creating and designing and crafting. It's never about what's to become of the finished project (there's always room for that). It's about the thrill of creating.

I can always find a little girl to appreciate a home spun doll. I can donate to charities or visit Children's Hospitals and make a child who needs it most a smile.

So, to not create is a mistake. Go and use your imagination to make great things and the world will be a better place for you and maybe a few others too!
