Create, Design, Fix...For Your Home!

So, you may be asking, what are home crafts? Well, I'm going to tell you and then I'm going to show you.

Home crafts are the art of making things that we use around the house on a daily or almost daily basis. For example, you'll learn to make soap which includes hand soap, liquid soap and even laundry detergent.

But home crafts also include making other things we need around the house like curtains and draperies and bed linen

Now I know you've got to be thinking that you should be able to save a lot of money by making your own. Well, if that's what's running through your mind... then you're on the right track.

Of course, that’s not always the case and saving money is not the best reason for crafting. By far the best reason is for personal achievement, happiness and stress relief. Sounds unbelievable, right? Well, get yourself involved in a craft and you will see what I mean!

Furnishing Your Home with Trash to Treasure Finds

If you like the idea of making furniture cheap than don't miss this trash-to-treasure project where some kitchen cabinets thrown out by a neighbor become a unique TV Cabinet in Furniture Stenciling - A Cabinet Re-Make Story! (See the picture below).

I am a strong advocate of reuse and recycle and finding gems in the rough on the side of the road then transforming them into art (OK! Usable furniture!)…Well, I can’t think of anything that makes me happier.

Once you get your hands on furniture and find out that you can custom design them to fit your individual tastes, you will be driving the streets on garbage day. Plus, you’ll find that some of the old things you find out there are made of solid stock that you just can’t buy anymore. This is the best set up for furniture that will last forever!

Crafts That Make a House Cozy!

And we will get to that but first I want to share this project with you because of course I got side-tracked to help with decorations for my niece's wedding next month. All us girls got together and made these lovely Ball Jar Candle Holders for the tables at the reception. They gave a romantic glow for the dusk ceremony outdoors under a huge oak tree!

Well, thanks for visiting and come back soon because I'm working on new stuff all the time!

Happy Crafting!
